Kevin J. O’Connell
Kevin J. O’Connell is a Partner in the law firm of Posternak Blankstein & Lund LLP, in Boston, Massachusetts, where he maintains a sophisticated and diverse corporate practice with particular focus on mergers and acquisitions and transactional representation. Kevin counsels clients in the technology, telecommunications, energy, engineering, transportation, manufacturing, and professional services sectors on a broad range of business issues, including licensing and intellectual property, contracts, and commercial matters. He serves as outside general counsel to several clients, including many not-for-profit, tax-exempt entities. He chairs Posternak’s Health Technologies Practice Group and the firm’s Marketing Committee.
Kevin is admitted to practice in Massachusetts, New York, and Rhode Island. He was written and published numerous articles regarding a wide range of legal issues, was named Massachusetts Super Lawyer in 2005 and 2006 in Boston Magazine, and holds an AV peer review rating the highest given, from Martindale-Hubbell.
Outside of the office, Kevin is an active member of the community. In addition to serving as a member of the Board of Directors of Art be CAUSE, Kevin is a Trustee of The Timothy O’Connell Foundation, which he and his wife Joanne founded in honor and loving memory of their son Timothy. The Timothy O’Connell Foundation is dedicated to the funding of research of cures for acute myeloid leukemia, the cancer from which Timothy died in 2008 at the age of 10. Kevin is also a member of Pedals for Pediatrics, Chair of the St. Mary’s Parish (Holliston, MA) Cemetery Committee and a Member of the parish’s Social Committee. He has coached all four of his son’s in organized youth baseball, basketball, and soccer leagues, and recently, his sons have been teaching Kevin how to play golf, a game he has played for over 35 years.
