After serving on the board of directors in 2014 and 2015, Dru accepted the position of executive vice president with Art beCAUSE in January 2016. She gained valuable knowledge and experience about the organization and it's mission while serving on the board and also through chairing the 2015 Gala.
Previously, Dru served as Assistant Executive Director for Friends of Families in Transition, a non-profit organization that provides support to homeless families placed in motels across Massachusetts through the states emergency shelter system. There, she coordinated volunteer efforts to provide services to over 200 families at 2 motel properties.
After graduating with a degree in Communications from University of Massachusetts, Amherst, Dru worked for American Airlines as a flight attended for 11 years. During that time, she opened a customer picture framing and interior decorating business which she owned and operated for 25 years.
Dru lives in Southborough with her husband Michael and three children, Hannah, Carl and Annie. She is a two time breast cancer survivor with no family history. After treatment, she became passionate about taking control over her own health, as well as that of her family, by becoming educated on the environmental causes of cancer. She is honored to have the opportunity have an impact on future generations by working to fund research on preventing breast cancer.
