David is a senior partner in the Business Law Department at Burns & Levinson LLP, a Boston-based middle-market law firm with more than 25 years of experience representing business enterprises and individuals. He concentrates his practice on general corporate law, business transaction (including mergers and acquisitions) and corporate finance.
Away from work, David has been actively involved with a number of charities and foundations, including:
- Art beCAUSE Breast Cancer Foundation, a non-profit organization that funds scientific research into the environmental causes of breast cancer. David is a member of the Board of Directors.
- American Liver Foundation (ALF), where he advises the non-profit organization that funds the research of liver disease. He was an active member of the ALF’s Run for Research team, which runs in the Boston Marathon to raise funds. David has completed ten Boston Marathons and raised a lot of money for ALF along the way
- Alliance Vision, where he serves in a business ad legal advisory role to a non-profit that designs and implements projects to achieve sustainable water and sanitation solutions in Africa.
Passionate about youth soccer, David has coached for almost 30 years and been active as an administrator and referee.
Other interests include cycling, running, golf, tennis, and reading.
